Eligibility

Veteran who served on active duty, separated under honorable conditions, and has established a service-connected disability of any rating (including 0%), or is receiving compensation/disability retirement/pension administered by the VA or a military department. Also applies to blind veterans. Must register with the NDVA Military & Veterans' Registry.

Covers

Motor vehicle tax and motor vehicle fee for ONE vehicle owned and used for personal transportation. Plate fees, sales tax, and wheel tax still apply. Effective January 1, 2026.

Register with the NDVA at veterans.nebraska.gov, then apply at your county treasurer's office.
