Eligibility
Arkansas citizen and resident with 100% total and permanent VA service-connected disability, OR awarded VA Special Monthly Compensation (SMC) for loss of or loss of use of one or more limbs, OR total blindness in one or both eyes. Surviving spouses and minor dependent children are also eligible (spouse must not remarry). Must occupy the home as principal residence.
Covers
Exemption from ALL state property taxes on the homestead (principal residence plus up to 40 contiguous acres not used for commercial purposes) and personal property. Does not cover special improvement taxes, city liens, or sanitation fees.
